The Fifteen Promises of Mary to
Christians Who Recite the Rosary
.
Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall receive signal graces.
.
I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary.
.
The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies.
.
It will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
.
The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall not perish.
.
Whoever shall recite the Rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its sacred mysteries shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice, he shall not perish by an unprovided death; if he be just he shall remain in the grace of God, and become worthy of eternal life.
.
Whoever shall have a true devotion for the Rosary shall not die without the sacraments of the Church.
.
Those who are faithful to recite the Rosary shall have during their life and at their death the light of God and the plentitude of His graces; at the moment of death they shall participate in the merits of the saints in paradise.
.
I shall deliver from purgatory those who have been devoted to the Rosary.
.
The faithful children of the Rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in heaven.
.
You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary.
.
All those who propagate the holy Rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities.
.
I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the Rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of death.
.
All who recite the Rosary are my sons, and brothers of my only Son Jesus Christ.
.
Devotion of my Rosary is a great sign of predestination.
.
(Given to St. Dominic and Blessed Alan)
.
Imprimatur: Patrick J. Hayes, D.D. Archbishop of New York
.
Even if you are on the brink of damnation, even if you have one foot in hell, even if you have sold your soul to the devil as sorcerers do who practice black magic, and even if you are a heretic as obstinate as a devil, sooner or later you will be converted and will amend your life and will save your soul, IF YOU SAY THE HOLY ROSARY devoutly every day until death for the purpose of knowing the truth and obtaining contrition and pardon for your sins-Saint Louis de Montfort.
.
“You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary.”
Our Lady to Blessed Alan de la Roche “If you persevere in reciting the Rosary, this will be a most probable sign of your eternal salvation.”
.
“The greatest method of praying is to pray the Rosary.”
Saint Francis de Sales
.
“The Most Holy Virgin in these last times in which we live has given a new efficacy to the recitation of the Rosary to such an extent that there is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, whether temporal or above all spiritual, in the personal life of each one of us, of our families…that cannot be solved by the Rosary. There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary.”
Sister Lucia dos Santos, Fatima seer.
.
One day, St. Dominic prayed to Our Lady that she would force the devils who possessed a man to reveal the truth about devotion to her. The devils were forced by Our Lady to reveal: Listen to what the devils said, “Now that we are forced to speak we must also tell you this: Nobody who perseveres in saying the Rosary will be damned, because she obtains for her servants the grace of true contrition for their sins and by means of this they obtain God’s forgiveness and mercy.”

TRUE DEVOTION TO SAINT JOSEPH TO BE OUR ADVOCATE AT DEATH
.
PRAYER TO SAINT JOSEPH FOR A HAPPY DEATH
.
O Glorious St. Joseph, behold I choose thee today for my special patron in life and at the hour of my death. Preserve and increase
in me the spirit of prayer and fervor in the service of God. Remove far from me every kind of sin; obtain for me that my
death may not come upon me unawares, but that I may have time to confess my sins sacramentally and to bewail them with a most perfect understanding and a most sincere and perfect contrition, in order that I may breathe forth my soul into the hands of Jesus and Mary. Amen
.
Signal Graces obtained through St. Joseph’s Intercession
.
In Venerable Mary of Agreda’s City of God, we learn the following consoling revelations:
.
• “First, those who invoke him shall obtain from God, by his intercession, the gift of chastity, and shall not be conquered by the temptation of the senses;
.
• Secondly, they shall receive particular graces to deliver them from sin;
.
• Thirdly, they shall obtain a true devotion to the Blessed Virgin;
.
• Fourthly, they shall have a good and happy death, and in that all-decisive moment be defended against the assaults of Satan;
.
• Fifthly, they shall be delivered when expedient for them, from bodily sufferings, and shall find help in their afflictions;
.
• Sixthly, if married, they shall be blessed with offspring;
.
• Seventhly, the demons shall have extreme dread of the glorious name of St. Joseph.
.
With so many graces to be obtained through his powerful intercession, let us not tarry nor hesitate in asking humbly for the protection and aid of dear St. Joseph, Terror of demons!

The First Saturday’s Devotion to the Immaculate Heart
.
During her July 1917 apparition at Fatima, Our Lady said to Lucy, “I shall come to ask… that on the First Saturday of every month, Communions of reparation be made in atonement for the sins of the world.”
.
Request of the Two Hearts
.
On December 10, 1925, our Blessed Mother again appeared to Lucy at Pontevedra, Spain. Sr. Lucy, while a Dorothean postulant, was in her cell when Our Lady appeared to her, placing one hand on Sr. Lucy’s shoulder and in the other hand showing her a heart surrounded by thorns. Next to the Blessed Virgin was the Child Jesus borne by a luminous cloud and He said to her:
.
Have compassion on the Heart of your Most Holy Mother, covered with thorns with which ungrateful men pierce it at every moment, and there is no one to make an act of reparation to remove them.”
.
Then the Most Blessed Virgin said:
.
Look, my daughter, at my Heart, surrounded with thorns with which ungrateful men pierce me at very moment by their blasphemies and ingratitude. You at least try to console me and say that I promise to assist at the hour of death, with the graces necessary for salvation, all those who, on the first Saturday of five consecutive months, shall confess, receive Holy Communion, recite five decades of the rosary, and keep me company for 15 minutes while meditating on the 15 mysteries of the rosary, with the intention of making reparation to me.”
.
Five parts of the request

1. Spirit of reparation
The spirit of reparation is a loving desire to make reparation to and console the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Our Mother. It considers the offenses which the Immaculate Heart of Mary now receives from those who reject her maternal intervention and despise her prerogatives. One should make this intention before carrying out Our Lady’s requests. A renewal of the actual intention at the time is best.
.
2. Confession in the spirit of reparation
If one cannot go to confession the first Saturday of the month, one can go within eight days. Even one’s monthly confession would be sufficient, which would need the intention of making reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
.
3. Reparatory Communion
This is the essential act of this devotion. If a just reason prevents the Communion on a First Saturday, with the priest’s permission it may be received the following Sunday.
.
4. Recitation of the rosary
The rosary is a vocal prayer said while meditating upon the mysteries of Our Lord’s and Our Lady’s lives. To comply with the request of our Blessed Mother, it must be offered in reparation for the offenses committed against her Immaculate Heart and said properly while meditating.
.
5. 15-minute meditation
Also offered in reparation, the meditation may embrace one or more mysteries; it may include all, taken together or separately. This meditation should be the richest of any meditation, because Our Lady promised to be present when she said “…those who keep me company….”
.
Five types of offenses
.
One could wonder: why five Saturdays? Our Lord answered that question when He appeared to Sr. Lucy May 29, 1930.
.
My daughter, the reason is simple. There are five types of offenses and blasphemies committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary:
.
1. Blasphemies against the Immaculate Conception;
2. Blasphemies against her virginity;
3. Blasphemies against her divine maternity, in refusing at the same time to recognize her as the Mother of men;
4. Blasphemies of those who publicly seek to sow in the hearts of children, indifference or scorn or even hatred of this Immaculate Mother;
5. Offenses of those who outrage her directly in her holy images.
.
Here, my daughter, is the reason why the Immaculate Heart of Mary inspired Me to ask for this little act of reparation…”

Prayers in Honor of the Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary
.
Pope Pius VII Approved This Devotion in Honor of the Seven Sorrows for daily meditation in 1815:
.
O God, come to my assistance; O Lord, make haste to help me. Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
.
1. I grieve for Thee, O Mary most sorrowful, in the affliction of Thy tender heart at the prophecy of the holy and aged Simeon. Dear Mother, by Thy heart so afflicted, obtain for me the virtue of humility and the gift of the holy fear of God. Hail Mary…
2. I grieve for Thee, O Mary most sorrowful, in the anguish of Thy most affectionate heart during the flight into Egypt and Thy sojourn there. Dear Mother, by Thy heart so troubled, obtain for me the virtue of generosity, especially toward the poor, and the gift of piety. Hail Mary…
3. I grieve for Thee, O Mary most sorrowful, in those anxieties which tried Thy troubled heart at the loss of Thy dear Jesus. Dear Mother, by Thy heart so full of anguish, obtain for me the virtue of chastity and the gift of knowledge. Hail Mary…
4. I grieve for Thy, O Mary most sorrowful, in the consternation of Thy heart at meeting Jesus as He carried His Cross. Dear Mother, by Thy heart so troubled, obtain for me the virtue of patience and the gift of fortitude. Hail Mary…
5. I grieve for Thee, O Mary most sorrowful, in the martyrdom which Thy generous heart endured in standing near Jesus in His agony. Dear Mother, by Thy afflicted heart obtain for me the virtue of temperance and the gift of counsel. Hail Mary…
6. I grieve for Thee, O Mary most sorrowful, in the wounding of Thy compassionate heart, when the side of Jesus was struck by the lance before His Body was removed from the Cross. Dear Mother, by Thy heart thus transfixed, obtain for me the virtue of fraternal charity and the gift of understanding. Hail Mary…
7. I grieve for Thy, O Mary most sorrowful, for the pangs that wrenched Thy most loving heart at the burial of Jesus. Dear Mother, by Thy heart sunk in the bitterness of desolation, obtain for me the virtue of diligence and the gift of wisdom. Hail Mary…
.
Let Us Pray:
.
Let intercession be made for us, we beseech Thee, O Lord Jesus Christ, now and at the hour of our death, before the throne of Thy mercy, by the Blessed Virgin Mary, Thy Mother, whose most holy soul was pierced by a sword of sorrow in the hour of Thy bitter Passion. Through Thee, O Jesus Christ, Savior of the world, Who with the Father and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns world without end. Amen.
.
The Blessed Virgin Mary revealed to St. Bridget of Sweden (1303-1373) that seven graces are granted to the souls who honor her daily by saying seven Hail Mary’s and meditating on her tears and dolors.
.
1) I will grant peace to their families.
2) They will be enlightened about the divine mysteries.
3) I will console them in their pains and I will accompany them in their work.
4) I will give them as much as they ask for as long as it does not oppose the adorable will of my divine Son or the sanctification of their souls.
5) I will defend them in their spiritual battles with the infernal enemy and I will protect them at every instant of their lives.
6) I will visibly help them at the moment of their death, they will see the face of their Mother.
7) I have obtained (This Grace) from my divine Son, that those who propagate this devotion to my tears and dolors, will be taken directly from this earthly life to eternal happiness since all their sins will be forgiven and my Son and I will be their eternal consolation and joy.
.
St. Alphonsus Liguori testifies to complementary revelations given by Our Lord to St. Elizabeth of Hungary (1207-1231) where Jesus further promises four special graces to those dedicated to the sufferings of the co-redeeming Mother:
1. That those who before death invoke the Blessed Mother in the name of her sorrows, should obtain true repentance of all their sins.
2. That He would protect in their tribulations all who remember this devotion, and that He would protect them especially at the hour of death.
3. That He would impress upon their minds the remembrance of His Passion, and that they should have their reward for it in Heaven.
4. That He would commit such devout clients to the hands of Mary, so that she might obtain for these souls all the graces she wanted to lavish upon them.
.
Holy Face Devotion
.
On November 24, 1843, Our Lord spoke the following words to the French Carmelite, Sister Marie de Saint-Pierre: “The earth is covered with crimes. The violation of the first three Commandments of God has irritated My Father. The Holy Name of God blasphemed, and the Holy Day of the Lord profaned, fills up the measure in iniquities. These sins have risen unto the Throne of God and provoked His wrath which will soon burst forth if His justice be not appeased. At no time have these crimes reached such a pitch.” Our Lord appeared several times to Sister Marie to ask for reparation to be done to His Holy Face. These revelations enjoy the full approval of the Catholic Church. Heaven has told us through Sister Marie that the Holy Face of Jesus is a symbol of the Catholic Religion. Is this not a veiled prophecy for the Church of our day? The crisis of Faith that has stricken the Church since the 1960’s is one that has corrupted and disfigured the face of Catholicism.
.
1. The Golden Arrow Prayer:- An act of Praise and Reparation dictated by Our Lord to Sister Marie de Saint-Pierre: “May the Most Holy, Most Sacred, Most Adorable, Most Incomprehensible and Unutterable Name of God be always praised, blessed, loved, adored and glorified, in Heaven, on earth, and under the earth, by all the creatures of God and by the Sacred Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Most Holy Sacrament of the altar. Amen.” After receiving this prayer, Sister Marie was given a vision in which she saw the Sacred Heart of Jesus delightfully wounded by the “Golden Arrow” as torrents of graces streamed from It for the conversion of sinners.
.
2. Prayer to reproduce the Image of God in Our Souls: “I salute Yhee, I adore Thee and I love Thee, adorable face of my beloved Jesus, as the noble stamp of the Divinity! Completely surrendering my soul to Thee, I most humbly beg Thee to stamp this seal upon us all, so that the image of God may once more be reproduced by its imprint in our souls. Amen”
.
3. Holy Face aspiration to be recited frequently during the day: “Be merciful to us, O my God and reject not our prayers, when amid our afflictions, we call upon Thy Holy Name and seek with love and confidence Thine adorable Face. Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Holy Face of Jesus, covered with Blood, Sweat, dust and spittle, in reparation for the crimes of communists, blasphemers and by the profaners of His Holy Name and of the Holy Day of Sunday.”
.
4. Our Lord told Sister Marie de Saint-Pierre on March 16, 1844, “Oh if you only knew what great merit you acquire by saying even once, ‘Admirable is the Name of God,’ in the spirit of reparation of blasphemy.” (say often).
.
5. To appease God’s justice and Draw down mercy upon us “Eternal Father, turn away Thy angry gaze from all guilty people whose faces have become unsightly in Thy eyes. Look instead upon the face of Thy beloved Son, for this is the Face of Him in whom Thou are well pleased. We now offer Thee this Holy Face, covered with shame and disfigured by bloody bruises, in reparation for the crimes of our age, in order to appease Thy anger, justly provoked against us. Because Thy Divine Son, our Redeemer, has taken upon His head all the sins of His people that they might be spared, we now beg of Thee, Eternal Father to grant us mercy. Amen”
.
6. “O Lord Jesus Christ, in presenting ourselves before Thine adorable Face to ask of Thee the graces of which we stand most in need, we beseech Thee, above all, to grant us that interior disposition of never refusing at any time to do what Thou requires of us by Thy holy commandments and divine inspirations. Eternal Father, we offer Thee the adorable Face of Thy well-beloved Son, for the honor and glory of Thy Holy Name and for the salvation of our country. Eternal Father, I ask of Thee as many souls as was the number of the drops of Blood as Thy Divine Son shed in His Passion.” (She was given a vision of Hell and the multitude of souls falling in, and was invited to pray for poor sinners. Dec. 21, 1846).
.
7. “Eternal Father, I offer Thee Our Savior, Jesus Christ for the expiation of my sins and for the needs of Holy Church. Amen.”
.
Promises of Our Lord Jesus Christ to Sr. Marie in favor of those who honor and adore His Holy Face
.
Our Lord said to St Gertrude concerning all those who would honor the Holy Face “They shall receive in themselves, by the impression if My humanity, a bright irradiation of My divinity, and shall be so illuminated by it in their inmost souls that, by their likeness to My Face, they shall shine in eternal life with a brightness surpassing that of many others”
.
Our Lord promised to St. Mechtilde: “Those who embrace this work of reparation with true piety will not be lost, for I Myself will defend them before My Father and I will give them the Kingdom of Heaven. I will grant them the grace of final perseverance”
.
Our Lord promised to Sr. Mary of St. Peter: “to imprint His Divine likeness upon the souls of those who honor the features of His face” “By my Holy Face you shall work wonders!” “Through this holy Face you will obtain the conversion of many sinners. Nothing that you ask in virtue of the Holy Face will refused to you. Oh if you only knew how pleasing is the sight of My face to My father” “Just as in an earthly kingdom, money which is stamped with the picture of the sovereign or ruling executive of the country procures whatever one desires to purchase, so, likewise, in the kingdom of heaven, you shall obtain all that you desire by offering the coin of My precious humanity, which is My adorable face” “Our Lord assured me that all persons who would apply themselves to this Work of Reparation to His Holy Face would perform the same service in His behalf as that which the saintly Veronica performed”
.
“I will give you My adorable Face and each time that you present it to My Father, My mouth will be open to plead your cause.” “In proportion to the care you take in making reparation to My face disfigured by blasphemies, I will take care of yours, disfigured by sin. I will imprint My image on it and render it as beautiful as when it was washed in the waters of Baptism” “Then Our Lord promised me that all who defended His cause in the Work of Reparation, whether by their words, their prayers or by their writing, He would Himself defend before His eternal Father, and that He would give them His Kingdom. Then it seemed to me that Our Lord urged me to extend this promise in His name to His priests who through a crusade of preaching would advance the cause of Reparation” “As for His spouses who would strive to honor and wipe His Holy Face in a spirit of atoning for blasphemies, Our Lord promised that at their death He would purify the face of their souls by effacing the stains of sin, and that He would restore to them their original beauty” “I believe that God has great plans of showing mercy to souls by revealing to us the power of His adorable Countenance. In this priceless gift we possess an infallible means of appeasing the anger of the Eternal Father, irritated by blasphemers, because whenever we beg Him to cast a look upon the Face of His Divine Son, the rod falls from His hands”

Prayer of Resignation to God’s Will in Death
.
My most sweet Jesus, I accept the death Thou has destined for me; with all the pains that may accompany it; I unite it to Thy death, I offer it to Thee. Thou hast died for love of me; I will die for love of Thee and to please Thee.
.
A sure means of salvation: From the writings of St. Francis de Sales, Bishop and Doctor of the Church: “Many people are tormented at death with the remembrance of their sins, and seeing that they have done no penance, are tempted to despair.” He tells us that there is a perfect remedy – Namely, “to accept death and unite your death with that of Jesus Christ. And I do not at all doubt that he who is grieved for having offended God and accepts death willingly in satisfaction for his sins will immediately obtain pardon.” From the book “Preparation For Death” by St. Alphonsus Maria de Liguori, Bishop and Doctor of the Church: “To accept death in order that the will of God may be fulfilled, merits for us a reward similar to that of the martyrs, because they accepted death to please God. He who dies in union with the will of God makes a holy death; and the more closely he is united to it, the more holy death he dies. The Venerable Blosius declares that an act of perfect conformity to the will of God at the hour of death not only delivers us from Hell but also from Purgatory.” Daily Prayer of Resignation in Death: “My most sweet Jesus, I accept the death Thou has destined for me; with all the pains that may accompany it; I unite it to Thy death, I offer it to Thee. Thou hast died for love of me; I will die for love of Thee and to please Thee.” It is recommended that you say this prayer daily as we do not know the day of our death, and what a blessing it would be to have said it on our last day.

THE THREE HAIL MARYS DEVOTION
.
THE THREE HAIL MARYS DEVOTION
.
One of the greatest means of salvation and one of the surest signs of predestination, is unquestionably, the devotion to the Most Blessed Virgin. All the holy doctors of the Church are unanimous in saying with St. Alphonsus of Liguori: “A devout servant of Mary shall never perish.” The chief thing is to persevere faithfully till death in this devotion.
.
Numerous examples show how agreeable the three Hail Marys Devotion is to the Divine Mother and what special graces it draws, during life and at the hour of death, on those who never omit it for a single day.
.
This practice was revealed to St. Melchtilde (13th century) while she was beseeching Our Blessed Mother to assist her in her hour of death. Our Lady appeared to her and said: “I will, certainly. But I also want you to say three special Hail Marys to me every day.
.
“The first will be in honor of God the Father, Whose omnipotence raised my soul so high above every other creature that after God I have the greatest power in heaven and on earth. In the hour of your death I will use that power of God the Father to keep any hostile power far from you.
.
“The second Hail Mary will be said in honor of the Son of God Who communicated His inscrutable wisdom to me. In the hour of your death I will fill your soul with the light of that wisdom so that all the darkness of ignorance and error will be dispelled.
.
“The third Hail Mary will be in honor of God the Holy Ghost Who filled my soul with the sweetness of His love and tenderness and mercy. In your last hour I will then change the bitterness of death into divine sweetness and delight.”
.
Our Blessed Mother also revealed to St. Gertrude the Great: “To any soul who faithfully prays the Three Hail Marys, I will appear at the hour of death in a splendor so extraordinary that it will fill the soul with heavenly consolation.”
.
St. Leonard of Port Maurice, the celebrated missionary, had the Three Hail Marys recited morning and evening in honor of Mary Immaculate, to obtain the grace of avoiding all mortal sins during the day or night; moreover he promised in a special manner eternal salvation to all those who proved constantly faithful to this practice. He gave this devotion of Three Hail Marys as a penance in the confessional, especially for those who were struggling with sins of impurity.
.
Practice: Recite morning and evening, three Hail Marys in honor of the three great privileges bestowed upon Our Blessed Mother by the most Blessed Trinity with this invocation at the end: for the morning: “O my Mother preserve me from mortal sin during this day.” For the evening: “O my Mother preserve me from mortal sin during this night.”
.
(Pope St. Pius X gave his Apostolic Blessing to this practice and the devotion was raised to an Archconfraternity by Pope Benedict XV.)
.
The Hail Mary: Hail Mary, full of grace; the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
